10:30 AM - 11:00 AM

What are the meetings industry's biggest challenges?

Meeting and event planners today often find themselves faced with far more challenges than simply delivering successful experience.

Join us for this opening session at MICE Show Asia, where a leader of a major MICE company outlines what it takes to succeed, and how they are planning to keep succeeding as the industry continues to move forward.

11:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Covid-19: Event crisis management & Recovery plan

The global MICE industry was hit hard by the Covid-19’s outbreak. Major events worldwide were cancelled, postponed and quickly developed their contingency plans thereafter. Some were adapting existing plans to handle the outbreak, while others were starting from scratch.

While it is early to fully understand the severity of Covid-19’s crisis and its long-term implications on the global MICE industry, there are several steps businesses can now take to help improve the situation and be better prepared for a similar case.

In this regard, MICE Show Asia brings together industry leaders to share their experiences and observations during the crisis, as well as insights on lessons learned.

11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

12:30 PM - 1:00 PM

Can events save the planet?

An average conference participant produces over four pounds of waste at event venues each day. More than 40% of that waste ends up in landfills (*).

It’s sadly undeniable that the event industry has been having a negative footprint in the ecosystem over the past years. Something got to be fixed here.

This session will explore how we as an industry can be green while keeping costs down and actually saving money through our sustainable efforts.

•    How can events be sustainable?
•    Will a sustainable event cost me more money?
•    How can technologies help?
•    A step-by-step green guideline to reach your sustainability goal

The rise of AI in events

By now it’s already a reality. Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionising the events industry and playing a pivotal role in growing our events. From customer support to event management and marketing, AI is changing how attendees experience live events, and giving MICE planners a competitive advantage.

•    How can events take advantage of AI?
•    Human touch vs. touch by machine
•    In the world of AI, what does it mean to have an interaction? Will AI change us for the better or for the worse?

4:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Tracking and analysing attendee behaviour

Tracking the attendee engagement is key to helping the events grow. It helps to tell the event planners which attendees went to which booths or conference sessions, how long they stayed at the booths, whether they liked the speakers, and whether, perhaps, they would return in the future.

Yet in reality, technologies are not widely being used to track attendee engagement at events. After attendees checked in, they became ghosts, moving from sessions to booths invisibly.

Join us in this session as we identify the pain points of implementing attendee tracking technologies, how to collect attendee engagement data across touch points in a cost-effective way, and what the future of attendee experience might look like.
